8 sleeps to when we leave ...

Heading into our last weekend at home and last week of school and work for 3 months. Huge excitement levels!! This weekend will be the test of what we need to fit into the ute vs what we can actually fit in. Have to refit the water bladder a bit more carefully as well after last weekend's leaky attempt as we didn't seal the point between the output hose and bladder so ended up with a puddle in the car. At least we noticed pretty soon after we filled up. 

So the plan for the first few days trip is as follows:-

• Saturday 26th Brisbane to Monto 480km, 5.5 hrs but maybe more if traffic is bad leaving the city since it is the start of winter school holidays.
• Sunday 27th Monto to Lake Dunn (which is kind of near Aramac) 750km, 9hrs
• Monday 28th Neila Farmstay (near Julia Creek) 600km, 7 hrs
• Tues 29th - Sat 3rd Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) NP 550km 6.5 hrs

So we do about 2400km in 4 days then ease off the driving again til after Lawn Hill.
